Spinel

Spinel Stone is a member of the corundum family and is one of very few gemstones which comes in pastel colours of all different tones and that makes it perfect for jewelry. You can find spinel stones in very different colours like pink, purple gray, black, blue and many more. But the most desired one is the Red Spinel. During the centuries the Red Spinel is often mistaken with a Ruby. For example, the famous 14th century Black Prince’s Ruby in the British Imperial Crown is actually a Red Spinel. Across the world the Spinel is also known as the birthstone of August month.
